Television Shows

Anyway, there are a couple of exceptions right now... with the new "fall season" of shows premiering, I have taken the time to sample a bit. The two shows I am actually trying to watch right now are, conveniently, back-to-back on the same network and night: Heroes and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (not owning a functioning VCR or a TiVo, I'm one of those people who still has to schedule my evening around a show if I want to view it).

What does this all have to do with LOGOLOG? Well, I'm not just making some pitch for NBC today. Rather, this is all to explain why I started notice the following: is it just me, or does there seem to be a preponderance of TV shows on right now that have numbers in their titles?

I mean, this is not something new. Two and a Half Men has been on for a while now, 8 Simple Rules... was on a few seasons ago, and Eight is Enough a few decades ago.

But this year... look at this:

• Nanny 911 (FOX)
• 1 vs. 100 (NBC)
• Studio 60... (NBC)
• 30 Rock (NBC)
• 24 (FOX)
• Twenty Good Years (NBC)
• The Nine (ABC)
• 7th Heaven (CW)
• Six Degrees (ABC)
• Two and a Half Men (CBS)
• and the venerable 20/20 (ABC) is still kicking around

Maybe this is all just my imagination.

And I've already made more of a big deal out of it than any televsion show deserves.
